Cabochon Classes

Discover the fundamentals of creating cabochons, one of the most popular forms in lapidary arts. In this class, you'll learn how to select suitable rough stones, cut and shape them using specialized tools, and polish them to a high gloss. Our instructor will guide you through each step, ensuring you gain confidence and skill in crafting these beautiful, domed stones.

Price: $50

Open to the public, the cabochon classes consist of 8 sessions where you'll create 3 cabochons from material provided by the Society. One of your cabochons will be donated to display in the Members Exhibit Case during the Gem & Mineral show and returned after the event. To ensure individual attention, class size is limited to four students per session.
