Our volunteer instructors and well-equipped facility provide a supportive environment for learning and creativity. Registration Process

  • Pre-registration is required for all classes. Class sizes are limited to ensure plenty of one-on-one instruction and safe use of equipment.

  • To register and reserve your spot, please contact the instructor directly using the contact information provided in the classes below.

  • Payment is accepted incashor bycheckand must be paid in full at the beginning of the class.

Lapidary Craft Classes

Our Craft Classes give members the chance to learn fun and creative techniques that complement their lapidary work — such as wire wrapping, intarsia, beading, jewelry assembly, and seasonal crafts. These casual, hands-on classes are open to all skill levels and are a great way to expand your abilities and create finished pieces to enjoy or share as gifts.

Junior Lapidary Classes

Specifically designed for our Junior Society members, the Juniors' Open Session offers a fun and engaging environment for kids to explore lapidary arts. It's a fantastic way for children to develop new skills andexpress their creativity.

Saw Certification Classes

Our Saw Certification Class teaches members how to properly use the Lapidary Shop’s 18-inch and 24-inch slab saws, essential tools for cutting large stones into usable halves and slabs. These powerful machines require specialized training to ensure safe and effective operation.

    Training and Safety Guidelines

    Please review our training guidelines before utilizing the lapidary equipment. Safety and machine maintenance are our top priorities, so make sure to follow all instructions and precautions provided.

    • Safety and equipment maintenance are top priorities — always follow posted instructions and the guidance of instructors.

    • Only trained and/or supervised students and members are permitted to use lapidary machines.

    • Sign In is required upon arrival and departure, and before operating any equipment.

    • Treat all tools and equipment with care to ensure smooth operation for all members.

    The Roseville Rock Rollers Lapidary Shop is a not for profit, educational facility. Any work completed in the workshop, including cabochons and jewelry, is for personal use or gifts only. Use of finished work for commercial sale is prohibited.
