  • California Federation of Mineralogical Societies (CFMS)

    The CFMS is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization representing Mineralogical and Lapidary clubs in California, Nevada, and Hawaii. The objective and purpose of the Federation is to disseminate knowledge of mineralogy and the earth sciences and to encourage study in these subjects. It supports member societies by providing educational resources, organizing field trips, and hosting annual shows and conventions.

  • American Federation of Mineralogical Societies (AFMS)

    The AFMS is a national organization that serves as an umbrella group for regional federations, including CFMS. The objective and purpose of the Federation is to promote popular interest and education in the various Earth Sciences, and in particular the subjects of Geology, Mineralogy, Paleontology, Lapidary and other related subjects, and to sponsor and provide means of coordinating the work and efforts of all persons and groups interested therein; to sponsor and encourage the formation and international development of Societies and Regional Federations and by and through such means to strive toward greater international good will and fellowship.

  • CO-OP Field Trip Chairman's Association

    The CO-OP Field Trip Chairman's Association coordinates field trips among member societies, providing opportunities to explore and collect minerals, fossils, and other geological specimens. Membership in our Society grants access to these exciting field trips.
