    Both Society members and non-members are eligible to purchase tickets for $20 each, and will be available at the Educational Meetings. The drawing will be held during the May Educational Meeting:

  • Camp Paradise Scholarship

    Society adult members are elgible to apply for a full or partial scholarship for one week at the CFMS's Annual Earth Science Studies at Camp Paradise in the Plumas National Forest near Clipper Mills, CA. The drawing will be held at the May Educational Meeting.

  • T-Shirt Design Contest

    Submit an original design for our Gem, Jewelry, Fossil & Mineral Show t-shirts. The winning artwork will be printed on t-shirts and available for purchase on our website. Deadline is May 1st and members can vote for the winning design at our May Educational Meeting!

  • Placer County Fair

    Join us at the Placer County Fair! We’ll have our mineral ID station, and displays to inspire young rockhounds and promote our Annual Show in August.

  • Dino Day | Sierra College

    Join us at Dino Day for a fun, family-friendly science festival! We’ll be hosting a Mineral ID Booth and Activity Table where families can win prizes and explore rocks and minerals. Volunteers are needed—especially junior members—to assist with setup and outreach.
