Our Lapidary Shop serves as a bustling center for gemstone and mineral enthusiasts to learn, create, and connect with fellow Society members. Whether you're a seasoned lapidary artist or a curious beginner interested in cabochon making, jewelry design, or other lapidary classes, our shop provides the resources and support to help you develop your skills and express your artistic vision. Explore our offerings and get involved in the exciting world of lapidary arts.
Join us for our Cabochon Classes, open to the public and perfect for beginners looking to learn basic cutting and polishing techniques. The fee is $50.00 per person, consisting of 8 sessions where you'll create 3 cabochons from material provided by the Society. One cabochon will be donated to display in the Members Exhibit Case during the Gem & Mineral show and returned after the event. Open Sessions
Our Open Sessions provide dedicated time and space for Society members who have completed the Cabochon Class to work on their lapidary projects in a supportive and collaborative environment. These sessions offer an opportunity to hone your skills, experiment with techniques learned in class, and engage with fellow lapidary enthusiasts. Craft Classes
Throughout the year, we also offer a variety of hands-on craft classes to Society members. From wire wrapping to intarsia, there's something for everyone to explore. Class sizes and fees vary depending on the specific craft, so be sure to contact the Craft Class Coordinator, Cathy Nelson, for details. LOCATION
The shop trailer is located on the grounds of @ the Grounds, 200 Corporation Yard Road. Enter off of Washington Blvd.
FEES
CABOCHON CLASS Consisting of 8 sessions where you'll create 3 cabochons. One cabochon will be donated for display in the Members Exhibit Case. Limited to four students per session. Open to the public and Society members.

Open Sessions are $5 per day or $20 per month.
Craft Classes fee vary by class.
Use of the large saws for slab cutting is $3 per cut for the 18" saw and $5 per cut for the 24" saw.
Use of the 18" and 24" saws for slab cutting is now $2 per cut for the
18" and $4 per cut for the 24".
