Our Rookie member, Justin M. attended our recent flintknapping/ arrowhead making class with his grandfather, Gary Logue, Debra Anspaugh, Jim LeCureaux, and others. This January day was sunny, so the class was held outside and a mini "Knap-in" began. The passion John Szabo, (instructor) has for this hobby was apparent from the beginning. They circled up and learned an ancient art as well as tool making skill, turning obsidian into arrowheads. All of them will have their own arrowhead to show and memories to convey. Mine was of this young Rookie Rock Roller proudly handing me his arrowhead and saying, "It's my second one."
